How does eviolite work tcg

As long as you only have one in play it works properly. However if you ahve more than one on your side of the field it stacks, blocking 40, 60, or even 80 damage. The reason people abuse it is because they know there will be no repercussions, so they just stack up cheap, easy wins.

Lol is eviolite working fine only for me? I run 4 eviolite and i'm not having any problem even with more than one in play. UPDATE: It seems now to be random wheather Eviolite works or not, now in some games I play against someone using Eviolite, it blocks the normal 20, even with two out, but sometimes if two are out, it blocks 80! Yeah I noticed it bug out once I had one on both of my mewtwos and it blocked 40 off the active one instead of That being said I use it because it's not like I intentionally abuse the bug, it's a good cards and isn't consistantly buggy enough for me to considerate cheap to use regularly.

I use it in the legit way and never put it on the same pokemon already has it. I never notice that it has that bug even though I read about it.

They should just ban the card for now instead of asking player to not use it at all on their own choice. I have real physical decks that I use in real life mirrors the deck I use online. I am not gonna change my deck because some ppl cheat with it. If they ban it for online use then sure I will take them out for the time being. Quite saddening, considering it has been broken for a while and still hasn't been fixed.

Where is written for the Eviolite?!? I'm italian, i only look forums for trading and i have known about the Eviolite just now playing against another player.

This guy told me he will report me because i was using them but it's my first time in my first match with the Durant deck Same here. I use 3 and every time someone uses an attack against any of mine that use it, it blocks exactly 20 damage. Was just playing a match, the opponent had two on the field - one on the basic, and one on the active. My Croconaw's wave splash 30 did zero damage. Nicely done. Eviolite is a very popular and important card right now. In fact the game is entering back into a Pokemon Tool phase which I like however nearly every tool has had problems online.

There is only going to be more tool cards with future sets as well. I would say Eviolite with its rampant use has a high priority for being fixed. If you have eviolites on two different cards of the same poke it will count as having two on both of them, as in if you have an active durant and a benched one, both with eviolite, the active one will get damage instead of Kind of a poor expanation but I hope it helps.

Also this is only from my experiance so there may be more to it, but I dont think there is. Then BW Dragons Exalted came out and introduced Tool Scrapper, which got rid of up to two tools from both player's side. This renders passive tools useless because the opponent can remove that obstacle and proceed with their game plan as usual. Item lock is also problematic for any tool, ensuring that passive tools will never reap the benefits of sticking around. Eviolite was never a bad card, but it made sense for players to not use it anymore because of those hurdles that passive tools may not overcome.

If the Eviolite holder has resistance or damage reducing ability, that'll be even better. So in the end, Eviolite does one thing very well, but is being a victim to metagame trends as well as card's having an answer against tools. It was good while it lasted.

Notes: Eviolite is a solid card for what it does if those tool removing cards didn't exist. Back when this card came out, I would have scored it a 4.

If it were reprinted today, Eviolite would likely replace Big Charm in the decks that are using the latter right now on Basics. In the Expanded Format, not only are cards as good or better than Tool Scrapper still legal, not only are Hard Charm and Muscle Band still legal, but we also have a wide assortment of other good-to-great Tools.

Eviolite does see some competitive success, but not a lot. Which is why my mind moved onto Eviolite, even though it reduces damage taken instead of boosting HP.
